We are pleased to let you know that we hope to run the Happing Festival Season again in 2010. As in previous years we will be producing an attractive brochure, which will be distributed throughout the area by the end of April 2010. An exciting programme of Festival events is being planned, subject to funding, including visits from the internationally renowned Locrian Ensemble, an outdoor theatre show and other concerts, as well as our already established popular Midsummer morning walk, youth drama weeks and local artists gallery. We do hope that you will want to be associated with the Festival and, as in previous years, would now like to invite you to send us details of any suitable events which you are organising between May and September 2010. We will try to include as many as we can in the brochure, which will hopefully therefore provide you with extra free publicity.
Please click HERE to complete a form for the inclusion of events. We would be grateful if you could use a separate form for each different event. A good image is also helpful in the brochure and should be in a jpeg format, which can be sent by email to happing@btconnect.com or by post to the Happing Shop.
As in 2009 we are also seeking funding to support three or four new small scale professional events which you would organise but which we could help subsidise in your own village. Last year we supported a visit by Keith Skipper to East Ruston, a classical lute concert at Sea Palling, a jazz concert at Ludham and a drumming workshop at Stalham Street Fair. If you are interested in becoming a “partner” village to bring such an event to your village hall, church or chapel in 2010, please contact me for further details. I would be happy to come out to visit you to discuss possible options and the level of support we can offer.
As ever time is of the essence, so we would ask that you get back to us to indicate your interest as soon as possible. Please contact us by the end of January if you are interested in being a “partner” village or send in your brochure forms by 18th March. I do hope that we will be able to work with you to promote arts and community events in the Happing area in 2010.
